Global Perspectives on Spectrum Management
Join us for a two-day event co-hosted with Shure on 9–10 December 2026.

Global Perspectives on Spectrum Management brings together regulators, satellite operators, broadcasters, mobile experts and technology analysts for two days of online discussion on the issues shaping spectrum policy.
Over two days, we’re putting the questions that will define the next decade of spectrum policy in front of the people who will answer them. Prof. William Webb sets the tone on day one with a look at where satellite direct-to-device and integrated sensing are really heading. We then hear about the spectrum challenge of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and get the latest from Washington, before Ofcom’s Dr Steve Leach joins fellow European regulators to debate what comes next.
Day two tackles the hard choices on the 470–694 MHz band, critical national infrastructure and 5G broadcasting. Ookla’s Luke Kehoe will reveal what real-world data shows about how satellite services are actually performing. We close with leading voices from industry going head to head on the issues that matter most.

Detlef Fuehrer
HPE

Detlef Fuehrer leads HPE’s wireless policy advocacy in EMEA. He is part of the Wireless Policy Team within the HPE Networking CTO organization. Based in Luxembourg, he represents HPE’s policy positions in key regulatory and industry organizations, including the ITU-R, CEPT, ASMG, Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA), and Wi-Fi Alliance.
