Mobile Deployment Database

Analyse deployments by technology, band, operator and geographic classification in 43 European countries using our new database.

| Martin Sims

The Mobile Deployment Database (MDD) is based on 2.4 billion crowd-sourced data points gathered over the past year by our partners Teragence.

These data points are aggregated to show the number of radios deployed in a mobile network, broken down into operator, band and technology used. They are also classified into rural and non-rural areas. The data is updated quarterly.

The data is presented in over 40 interactive maps, charts and tables. These are combined with the licensing and pricing data in the PolicyTracker Spectrum Database and can be filtered for your own analysis. The raw data can also be downloaded in CSV format.

The MDD can answer a wide range of research questions, including:

  • Which bands are deployed the most in a country or region?
  • Which countries have the most installations of 5G standalone (5G SA) ?
  • Which bands are most used for 5G SA?
  • Which national operator is deploying a band the most?
  • Which operator leads in 5G deployment?
  • How do deployment patters differ in urban and non-urban areas?
  • How do award fees compare with deployment?

Access to the MDD is a new subscription service: find out more in our brochure. Existing customers can access a trial version of the MDD by filling in the same form.
