PolicyTracker Spectrum Database updated with latest auction results and mergers
The leading database on global spectrum licences has been updated to reflect the latest changes, including a recent auction held in Thailand and a merger in the UK.
The latest version of the PolicyTracker Spectrum Database (PSD) is now available to our research service subscribers. It includes the results from recent spectrum auctions held in Thailand, Vietnam and the French overseas territory of Mayotte.
The auction in Thailand was the most significant award in this quarter (April to June). The auction raised $1.28 billion from two mobile operators who acquired 120 MHz of spectrum.
As usual, our database goes beyond auctions and includes various updates to existing licences. In this quarter, we’ve made adjustments to reflect the completion of Vodafone and Three’s merger in the UK.
As we illustrated in our Spectrum Snapshot, this merger means VodafoneThree holds more spectrum than any other operator in the country, with assets totalling 526 MHz.
Also included in this update is a brand new territory. We now track spectrum licences in the British Virgin Islands. This means the Spectrum Database provides information on 150 territories across the world.

The PolicyTracker Spectrum Database provides information on spectrum allocation, assignment, and licence pricing in 150 countries and territories. It is available in Google Sheets and as an Excel document. Information from the database can also be accessed on our interactive web-based database and our Data Explorer function.
Subscribers – please share any suggestions you have for further enhancements to the database. Your input helps refine the PSD and maintain its position as a critical tool for spectrum management professionals. You can contact me at richardhaas(at)policytracker.com•
