PolicyTracker Spectrum Database updated with latest auction results and awards
The PolicyTracker Spectrum Database, available as part of our Spectrum Research Service, has been updated with the latest assignments, including those from Vietnam, the Dominican Republic and Ghana.
The last three months have seen the conclusion of several high-profile auctions. These have been added to our Data Explorer and are now available to Spectrum Research Service subscribers.
In Vietnam, the Ministry of Science and Technology auctioned off sections of the 900 MHz band, which were acquired by three operators: Viettel, VNPT and Vietnamobile. This is the first time Vietnam has refarmed a mobile band from 2G to 4G. The auction raised more than $100 million.

Ghana held a successful 5G auction, awarding spectrum in the 700 MHz and 2.3 GHz bands. The nation’s auctions have attracted great interest from the country’s operators, but future awards in the 3 GHz band have not been announced yet.
Alongside these developments, Montenegro renewed several licences, and Paraguay auctioned licences in the 2.3 GHz and 3.3-3.8 GHz bands to Personal and Tigo.
Lastly, the Dominican Republic auctioned off licences in the 700 MHz, 3.3-3.8 GHz and 2.3 GHz bands. They were acquired by Viettel and Claro.
We have also updated several major countries in the European telecoms body, CEPTCEPT stands for the European Conference of… (such as Italy and France), with the latest spectrum renewals reported to the body and shown in its 2026 “licensing of mobile bands” report.

The PolicyTracker Spectrum Database provides information on spectrum allocation, assignment, and licence pricing in over 100 countries. It is available as an Excel document. Information from the database is also accessible on our interactive web-based database and our Data Explorer function•
