ASMG

The Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG), is a regional spectrum policy group representing Arab countries in the ITU. The ASMG has 22 Member States, see the full list here.
Members meet regularly to exchange views on emerging radio communication aspects and coordinate all spectrum management issues, World Radiocommunications Conferences, and other spectrum matters between Arab states.
The group is responsible for:
- Coordinating among member states on all issues related to the Spectrum Management.
- Harmonizing spectrum use between Arab countries
- Negotiating and developing common Arab proposals for the agenda items of the World Radio Conference (WRCThe World Radiocommunication Conference (W...) held every four years at the ITU.
- Assessing the progress of the studies about the agenda items of World Radio Conferences
- Preparing common contributions for the meetings of the Radiocommunications sector of ITU (ITU-RThe International Telecommunication U...).
