Spectrum valuation and auctions courses: book now and save

Don't miss our Valuing the Spectrum course immediately followed by the Spectrum Auctions Masterclass being held in the second week of October.

| PolicyTracker

These two-day online courses are essential for anyone involved in buying or selling spectrum licences and there is a discount for booking them together. Valuing the Spectrum is on 8-9 October, and the Spectrum Auctions Masterclass is on 10-11 October.

The courses are available at a discounted price of £500 individually and £900 as a package if you book by Friday September 27. After that the price increases to £600 for an individual course or £1100 for both.

The two subjects are closely linked – a successful auction depends on accurate valuation and an upcoming spectrum sale is the most common reason to carry out valuations.

Valuing the Spectrum gives practical experience of  the most commonly-used valuation techniques, including:

  • Benchmarking
  • Business modelling
  • Technical valuation
  • Opportunity cost techniques

The Spectrum Auctions Masterclass offers hands-on experience using the latest auction software and covers:

  • Auction theory
  • SMRAs, clock auctions and combinatorial clock auctions
  • Incentive auctions
  • Auctions for 5G
  • Current debates about the limitation of auctions

Both courses feature experts in their field:

  • Valuation: Aetha Consulting explain their approaches to working for operators and regulators
  • Auctions: Dr Andy Hudson gives a bidder’s perspective based on 15 years experience

Download the brochures to see the full programmes. Online booking is available for all courses.
