Spectrum Data

The PolicyTracker Spectrum Database (PSD) covers spectrum allocations, assignments, and licence fees for more than 100 countries. Use the four buttons below to jump to the relevant sections. Limited extracts from the database can be used publicly, but please take note of our fair use policy. Our data selection also includes a weekly updated auction tracker, the data explorer and a database of public network licences.

Database options

Spectrum licensing database

This database covers 120+ major economies and includes details of 4000+ licences and 800+ operators. It provides $/MHz/pop data for 400+ licences. All major mobile and wireless broadband bands included from 450 MHz to 3.3-3.8 GHz, plus the mmWaves.

Data Explorer

The Data Explorer visualises key metrics relating to national spectrum assignments and spectrum pricing. All data is sourced from the PolicyTracker Spectrum Database (PSD) which tracks assignments and pricing around the world.

Auctions

The auction tracker service tells you when awards are taking place, which bands are being assigned and the status of the process. You can also filter, search and export the list of upcoming awards.

Private Networks Database

This is a filterable global database summarising how regulators assign spectrum for private networks, including bands, policy status, assignment mechanisms, licence terms and whether dedicated spectrum has already been released.
