Over 50 countries sign joint contribution on satellite CNPC for UAS

Supporters of a change to the Radio Regulations to allow unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to be controlled through spectrum allocated to the fixed satellite service (FSS) have produced a joint contribution to WRC-15 in the hope of persuading undecided administrations to join their cause.

WRC-15 agrees to reserve 4.6 MHz for global flight tracking

WRC-15 has agreed to allocate 1087.7–1092.3 MHz to the Aeronautical Mobile-Satellite (Route) Service (Earth-to-space) specifically for reception of space stations of Automatic Dependant Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) emissions from aircraft transmitters.
