Jun 02, 2011 by admin

Covers deleting a post; changing the wording at the top; when your post is publicly visible; adding a photo; strange colours on the page; and other issues

How do I delete a post?

Navigate to the relevant post then choose delete from the actions menu in the green bar.

How do I change the wording at the top of my blog?

Go to the blog url we originally sent you ( e.g. https://www.policytracker.com/blogs/MY-NAME) click the edit tab and amend the text in the description box

When is my post publicly visible?

Only when the state menu in the green bar says "publish". If it says "private" then only you can see it

Can't I add a photo of myself and a brief bio?

Yes but you need to do it via your profile. This will then appear on the blog

in the right hand column

Why has some of the text gone a strange colour?

Here "Consultations" is blue instead of green.

This happens if you cut and paste from word processing programmes like word. Its better to write directly into the blog, but this problem easily fixed.

  1. Click this button in the green bar and you will see a lot of strange code at the top of the story before the text starts, e.g. (code in italics, text in bold)
    <style type="text/css">&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;!- @page { margin: 2cm P margin-bottom: 0.21cm } A:link { color: #0000ff } --&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt; </style><p class="western">The unique way in which....
  2. Highlight and delete the code at the start (in italics above)
  3. Click to return to normal view
  4. Click on the first paragraph and choose "normal paragraph" in the styles drop down to the right of the button
