Book today or tomorrow for the Middle East Spectrum Conference to qualify for the early bird discount!

The reduced rate of only £450, a £100 saving on the standard price of £550, is now available until Monday 27 February. A similar discount applies to our comprehensive programme of training courses:   register now to avoid disappointment!

The Conference is an ideal opportunity to discuss the ground-breaking agreement made at the WRC in Geneva to clear the way for mobile services in 700 MHz in the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Operators, regulators and manufacturers will have many questions about what this means in practise and the Middle East Spectrum Conference is the ideal place to find the answers.

The keynote speakers include Francois Rancy, Director of the ITU's Radiocommunication Bureau and the Chairman of the World Radio Conference, Tariq Al-Awadhi, who is also the Executive Director Spectrum and International Affairs, at the TRA in the UAE.

The Middle East Spectrum Conference has been organized in conjunction with Bahrain's Telecoms Regulatory Authority and among those making presentations will be the Kingdom's Telecoms Minister, H.E. Mr. Kamal bin Ahmed.

Other conference speakers include:

  • Dr Amr Badawi, Executive President, National Telecom Regulatory Authority, Egypt
  • Mohamed Mahmood, Director, Technical & Operations, TRA, Bahrain
  • Yousuf Al Belushi, Senior Manager, TRA, Oman
  • Wassim Chourbaji, Senior Director Spectrum and Regulation, QUALCOMM
  • Emmanuel Coehlo Alves, Huawei
  • Dr Chris Doyle, Warwick University Business School and Apex Economics
  • Phillipa Marks, Director, Plum Consulting

With a growing policy emphasis on the delivery of broadband services this event will examine what this means for the mobile, satellite, broadcasting and IT sectors. The full conference agenda is available in our brochure but topics will include:

  • Mobile broadband challenges
  • Successful spectrum auctions
  • Policies for public sector spectrum
  • Gauging the economic value of spectrum
  • Spectrum monitoring and enforcement

This conference follows on from the success of the last event, held in Dubai. There are numerous networking opportunities, including a dinner on the evening of Tuesday 20 March, sponsored by Batelco.

There are special offers for multiple delegates and for attending both the conference and the training courses: click here for more details
