Terms and Conditions

The www.policytracker.com site and the PolicyTracker printed newsletter are owned and operated by PT Publishing Limited hereafter referred to as PT Publishing whose registered office is 24 Chasefield Road, London SW17 8LN

Access to and use of the site and subscription to the newsletter is provided by PT Publishing subject to the terms contained in this document. By using www.policytracker.com or subscribing to the PolicyTracker newsletter you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of www.policytracker.com or your first receipt of the PolicyTracker printed newsletter. The terms apply to both paid subscribers and trial users.

Corporate subscription

Corporate subscriptions entitle the company or organisation to 5 printed copies of PolicyTracker and online access for the same 5 people for 12 months. It is non-refundable and must be paid in advance. PT Publishing does not permit any of the following:

• any other person sharing your username and password
• access through a single user name and password being made available to multiple users on a network
• printing of more than one copy or photocopying of reports or newsletters delivered in electronic format
• forwarding or copying all or part of articles or reports provided in electronic (pdf, html or xml) format or these electronic articles or reports on a computer accessible by a network

The right to use the Licensed Information (Content) in the printed newsletter or on the PolicyTracker site is personal to the named subscriber(s) and should not be shared with any other person or entity.

Users are responsible for all use of the Site made using the username and password issued to you. If you believe there has been any breach of security such as the disclosure, theft or unauthorised use of your username and password or any other personal information, you are bound to notify PT Publishing Limited immediately by emailing: admin@policytracker.com

On registration or purchase of a subscription, you must provide PT Publishing with accurate, complete information. It is your responsibility to inform PT Publishing of changes to that information (including in particular your email address) by emailing admin@policytracker.com or writing to the registered office.

PolicyTracker is a professional journal aimed at business customers. You are buying a 12 month subscription to the newsletter and it is not our policy to make refunds midway through this period. However, refunds may occasionally be offered at the discretion of the management.

Subscription for academic institutions

PT Publishing also offers a subscription package for academic institutions under which five members of staff may access the electronic version of the newsletter or receive the printed edition under the conditions described above i.e. through the use of a username restricted to one individual.

However, as part of the package for academic institutions PT Publishing also gives open access to the newsletter website for a restricted number of computers, specified by IP address, which are usually located in the university library. These are intended to provide access to the site for all users of the library so for these computers the restrictions on individual use (i.e. the first three bullet points in the Corporate Subscription section above) do not apply. For these computers the "named subscriber" referred to above is the academic institution rather than any individual.

All the other provisions in this document apply both to corporate and academic subscribers.

Copyright

Copyright and Intellectual rights in the Licensed Information are owned by PT Publishing Limited and are protected by English copyright laws and international treaty provisions. The Subscriber may retrieve and display Content from the Site on a computer screen, and print individual pages on paper (but not photocopy them) and store such pages in electronic form but not on a server or other storage device connected to a network for personal, non-commercial use.

Further, without prior written permission, the subscriber may not:

• reproduce, modify or in any way commercially exploit any of the Content
• redistribute any of the content (including by using it as part of an archive intranet or similar service)
• remove the copyright or trade mark notice from any copies of Content made under these Terms
• create a database in electronic or structured manual form by systematically downloading and storing all or any of the Content

The Subscriber shall ensure that the Licensed Information (Content) is not copied, distributed, published, transmitted, sold, licensed or otherwise used in any manner whatsoever without PT Publishing Limited's prior written permission.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Information contained on this website has been derived from interviews and research which we consider reliable, but accuracy and completeness cannot be guaranteed. The site’s content is provided "AS IS" and on an "IS AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether express or implied by law) to the extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

Under no circumstances will PT Publishing be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such losses where foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the site’s content regardless of the form of action.

PT Publishing does not warrant that functions contained in www.policytracker.com content will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that www.policytracker.com or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.

PT Publishing Limited reserves the right to, without liability to the user
a) vary the technical specification of Service
b) may temporarily suspend the Service for the purposes of upgrade or maintenance.
c) at any time withdraw any title from the Content without notice if PT Publishing Limited ceases to publish that title, ceases to have the right to distribute the title or if the title is subject of a libel or copyright infringement allegation

The right to use the Licensed Information is personal to the Subscriber and is not transferable to any other person or entity without written permission from PT Publishing Limited.

PT Publishing actively monitors username and password usage and reserves the right to terminate the account immediately if abuse occurs.

PT Publishing Limited reserves the right to decline to accept an application for a subscription from any person or organisation, notwithstanding that a formal and proper application has been made and shall not be obliged to give any reason for declining to accept such an application.
